All That's Left. This is what's left of an old battered pier near Puerto Morelos, Mexico facing out into the Caribbean Sea. Setting up for this shot was tough because the waves were very strong. Every time I thought I had my tripod weighed down into the sand far enough a wave would recede and pull the whole rig forward. The waves look very calm but only because it was a 60 second exposure with a 10 stop ND filter and polarizer which smoothed everything out. INTRODUCTION Preparing for cold weather landscape photography can be very time consuming but it's essential you have the right gear or you're not going to be happy with the results. Landscape gear wise it's almost the same as any destination. Clothing wise, it's very different.
